Rather than just throwing some lame poetry at the problem, let's do some actual work. Study. Go places where you've got no status. Think. Smash heads with the very best. Drop your ideas about what the best is. And don't stop. It's not enough just to follow the teacher's instructions. Who the fuck is he? Did he invent the internet like Al Gore? It ain't that easy. Take a year of quantum mechanics from a Nobel Prize winner. See what Richard Rorty has to say about philosophy. Get on the grind. Computer Science. Physics. Anthropology. Literature. Economics. Engineering. How can you take yourself seriously without having pressed up against those MILLIONS OF LIVES OF WORK. There's a time to get real, and that time is N-O-W. Can't just play dress-up. Chumps have been going around playing teacher for a long time. Look where that's gotten us. Get your head down and WORK. Face your fears. Don't just hide out in your tiny fife and pretend to be the guy. 'Cause that won't get you anywhere. There's a lot to learn about how it all works. Who knows how you'll learn it. If you're thing is to go around acting like you understand it all for dollars, you're just avoiding the work you need to do to actually get somewhere.
